Top 100 Places to Work – Interstate Batteries Makes It Three in a Row

The Dallas Morning News’ Top 100 Places to Work is an annual search by the magazine.  Public and private companies, governments and nonprofit organizations with more than 50 employees may enter the contest.  For 2011, over a thousand companies were nominated.  The companies were rated through anonymous survey questions sent to employees of each.  They were rated according to ” six key areas of the workplace, including direction, execution, career, conditions, managers, and pay and benefits”.  The 3rd annual recognition ceremony was held in November 2011 at the Fairmont Hotel, Dallas.  There were 34 three-time awardees that included Interstate Batteries.  Interstate Batteries rated 14th overall and as the No. 1 replacement battery brand in US, it has earned positive reviews for its top-quality products and satisfied customers.  More on the company from InterstateBatteries.com below.

For the third consecutive year, Interstate Battery System of America has been recognized as one of Dallas-Fort Worth’s Top 100 Places to Work by The Dallas Morning News. The Dallas wholesale/retail battery distribution company is one of 34 area companies to make the list each of the past three years.

“Team member events are some of the things that set us apart,” said Carlos Sepulveda, president and CEO of Interstate Battery System of America. “Our Brand Promise Day celebration each spring gives everyone a chance to have fun and to recommit ourselves to our brand promise of being Outrageously Dependable®. Other events include segments like Dancing with the VPs — similar to the Dancing With the Stars television show — and a rock-paper-scissors game to win a big-screen TV.”

Among the top 25 large companies in Dallas-Fort Worth, the survey lists Interstate Batteries 14th in the Top Places to Work poll.

The Dallas Morning News’ list was compiled from data submitted by 42,369 people from 215 companies who returned surveys and were asked whether they agree with 23 statements about pay, benefits, managers and more. The newspaper’s research partner, WorkplaceDynamics of Exton, Pa., develops these surveys nationally. D-FW workers rated their jobs 8.2 percent higher than the national average on two statements: “I feel genuinely appreciated at this company,” and “My pay is fair for the work I do.”
