Krispy Kreme Opens First Store In Turkey
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts said Monday that a franchisee has opened its first store in Turkey.
The franchisee, part of Qatar-based Almana Group, opened a Krispy Kreme shop in Istanbul. It is the first of 25 stores the franchisee plans to open over the next five years.
The franchisee, called Almana Yiyecek Ve Icecek San. Ve. Tic, Ltd, STI, also operates KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants in Turkey.
“We are partnered with experienced (quick-service restaurant) operators, the Almana Group, that know this exciting region of the world extremely well,” said Jim Morgan, president and CEO of Krispy Kreme. “Their unique experience fits perfectly with the fun and excitement associated with Krispy Kreme and the brand around the world.”
