CK Franchising, Inc. Purchased By Sodexo
CK Franchising, Inc., dba Comfort Keepers®, a leading in-home care franchise network for seniors and other adults, has been purchased by Sodexo, one of the world’s leading food and facilities management services companies and the global leader in the health care and seniors markets.
With the “graying of the U.S.” and other countries around the world, coupled with the cultural shift to age in one’s own home, Comfort Keepers has experienced exponential demand for in-home senior care. With this new ownership, Comfort Keepers envisions even greater business opportunities through leveraging the market segments in which Sodexo has excelled.
Jim Booth, president and CEO of CK Franchising, Inc., the franchisor of Comfort Keepers, said, “We are thrilled and excited with the transaction and view the organizations as extremely aligned. Comfort Keepers’ mission is to provide our clients with the highest quality of life that is achievable, which parallels very well with Sodexo’s philosophy of improving the quality of daily life and contributing to the economic, social and environmental development of the cities, regions and countries in which it operates.” Booth continued, “In addition to the cultural congruence, the fundamental tenets of our business philosophies include organic growth and nurturing the team that has played the important role of growing Comfort Keepers to the position it holds today.”
Bruno Vanhaelst, Sodexo’s business development director, concurs, stating, “In-home senior care is a strategic and logical addition to Sodexo’s business lines. Sodexo views this purchase as testimony to the industry potential, the strength of the franchise business model, and Comfort Keepers’ position as an industry leader.”
