3 Local Precision Tune Franchises Close

Dayton Daily News:

Work at those locations — 4439 N. Main St. in Dayton; 2625 Wilmington Pike in Kettering; and 4998 Springboro Pike in Moraine — was transferred to other local Precision Tune franchises, said Anne Frayne, RPM’s attorney. The franchiser has expressed some interest in taking over the closed locations, though it is based in Virginia, she said.

RPM’s owner, Jeffrey N. Caldwell, died Monday, Aug. 24. He was the only person who had check-writing authority with RPM, according to an Aug. 26 filing in U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

RPM had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in December as part of an effort to reorganize its business.
