7-Eleven Unveils New Concept Stores In Australia
7-Eleven Stores Australia unveiled two pilot food stores in Melbourne and Sydney and plans to roll out a new food-focused convenience store concept across all 7-Eleven stores in the country, according to a report by Franchise.net.
The new stores will offer a range of 45 new freshly prepared food items, developed with market trends in mind. The new offer includes a hot breakfast menu of bacon and egg muffins, ham and cheese croissants, and toasted sandwiches cooked to order, according to the report. Other foods include focaccia, pizza, soups and salads.7-Eleven also teamed up with coffee producer Lavazza to offer barista-made coffee in the two concept stores, according to the report.Warren Wilmot, CEO of 7-Eleven Stores Australia, said he was excited by the new venture. “As people are becoming increasingly busy, working longer and more irregular hours, we’ve seen an increase in customers opting for on-the-go food and drink,” he told Franchise.net. “Each of the two concept stores has been developed to meet this need. By launching in high foot-traffic locations, there’ll be plenty of passing customers to road test the offering,” Wilmot said.
“This is the next step on our journey to provide customers with a delicious, great value food offer within the convenience format. We plan to leverage our position as a major branded chain to deliver a consistent, great quality food offer across our total store network.”
